The Festival of Mountain and Plain was inspired by the Mardi Gras in New Orleans to celebrate the achievements of all Coloradans as the state was coming out of the 1893 Silver Crash. The short movies shot by the Edison Company during the 3rd Festival in 1897 will be shown. These films are some of the earliest films shot, the first in Colorado
